This may be one of the coolest things I've ever found on the web. Here is a link to handwritten notes by John Fahey on the use of the "open C" guitar tuning. I bought his album The Legend of Blind Joe Death while at lunch today. I highly recommend it. Between Fahey and my recent infatuation with Bert Jansch, I'm turning into a freak for 1960's folk guitarists.
