I got my first ever publishing royalties the other day. A check from BMI for $30 and change. I suspect it might have been a mistake on their part but as long as the check clears, I guess it doesn't really matter. If it wasn't a mistake, one of the songs I wrote for the Olive Group was used on a tv show. The printout didn't say which song. It makes me want to put more songs out it the world and occasionally get random checks for 'em.
